A Tribute to the Aardvark

 Just think of the aardvark’s devotion to duty!
While other creatures gambol and play,
The lowly aardvark makes its rounds
Among the growing termite mounds,
Sniffing them out, as if a hound.
He flicks his tongue into the grass,
Slurps up the teeming insect mass,
And saves my home for one more day.
